Sun-Ice Energy is a Singapore-based climate technology company developing patented thermal energy storage solutions for 24/7 cooling.
Our Ice Wall technology uses daytime solar energy to provide cooling while simultaneously storing thermal energy for use after sunset. This allows solar to become the primary cooling energy source, with the grid or generator becoming backup — without relying on battery-based energy storage.
The technology operates from 2°C and above and can be applied across commercial cold rooms, buildings and accommodation, and off-grid or remote containerised applications. The modular system can be integrated into new or existing cooling infrastructure using standard chillers.
Sun-Ice technology is already operating in China and Singapore, with further applications under development in Southeast Asia. Our Shanghai installation includes an operational 35 m³ cold room maintaining 24/7 temperature stability from 2°C and above, while Singapore deployments include operational 20ft and 40ft container systems.
Sun-Ice is supported by the global engineering and manufacturing capabilities of ATEQ, providing access to more than 800 specialists across 40+ countries.
We are seeking partners, customers and pilot opportunities in high-cooling-demand markets, particularly across Southeast Asia and the Middle East. We are interested in working with refrigeration and HVAC companies, engineering and EPC partners, cold-storage and food-processing operators, developers, utilities and other organisations interested in reducing grid dependence and deploying solar-first cooling at scale.
Sun-Ice is seeking cold-storage operators, food processors, refrigeration partners and pilot sites to deploy our solar-first thermal storage solution for commercial cold rooms operating from 2°C and above.
