Commercial Cold Rooms

Sun-Ice Energy is seeking partners and end users for commercial cold-room applications operating from 2°C and above.

Our patented Ice Wall technology uses daytime solar energy to cool the cold room while simultaneously storing cooling for use after sunset. This enables solar to become the primary cooling energy source, with the grid or generator becoming backup — without battery-based energy storage.

The technology can integrate with standard refrigeration infrastructure and can be incorporated into new cold rooms or retrofitted into existing facilities.

Our operational 35 m³ cold room in Shanghai maintains 24/7 temperature stability from 2°C and above and has demonstrated approximately 40 kWh/day in electricity savings and approximately 9 tonnes/year in CO₂ reduction.

We are interested in connecting with cold-storage operators, food processors, agricultural businesses, refrigeration companies, EPC and engineering partners, and organisations interested in hosting pilot or commercial installations.

We are particularly interested in high-solar and high-cooling-demand markets across Southeast Asia, the Middle East and other international markets.
