Precision Irrigation Intelligence for Olive Groves

Head of Marketing Growth at ACUSHLA SA

About

Acushla is seeking a technology partner for the GATE5.0 Open Call to co-develop and validate an Agriculture 5.0 solution for smart irrigation management in olive groves. Our company already uses digital tools for field-book management and traceability. Therefore, our innovation need is not focused on basic digitalisation, but on a more advanced layer of agronomic intelligence aimed at optimising water use and improving irrigation decision-making.

The challenge is to enhance irrigation management by combining drone-based crop monitoring, soil and climate data, and decision-support analytics. The goal is to detect water stress earlier, identify priority intervention areas, and support more precise irrigation strategies across the farm.

We are looking for a technology SME with an already mature solution or module that can be adapted to our operational context, piloted under real conditions, and scaled after validation.

What we are looking for:

- Drone-based monitoring capabilities

- Integration of soil moisture and climate data

- Agronomic analytics or AI-based recommendation systems

- A dashboard or decision-support interface

- Pilot-ready technology with strong scalability potential

Expected impact

- Improved irrigation decision-making

- Reduced water consumption

- Earlier detection of crop stress

- Better agronomic consistency across plots

- Scalable model for permanent Mediterranean crops
