Circular Composite Solutions: R&D and Scale-up Partnerships

FIDAMC is seeking research, technology and industrial partners to jointly develop sustainable composite-material solutions.

Our objective is to establish collaborative R&D projects covering the full innovation chain: material selection and characterisation, circular design, process development, manufacturing of demonstrators, testing, validation and industrial scale-up.

FIDAMC can contribute expertise in:

• Reuse and recycling of thermoset and thermoplastic composite materials.

• Transformation of manufacturing waste and recovered materials into new semi-structural components.

• Development and characterisation of recyclable thermoplastic composites.

• Resource- and energy-efficient manufacturing, forming, consolidation, joining and assembly processes.

• Lightweight structures designed to reduce material consumption and environmental impact.

• Manufacturing and validation of representative demonstrators for aerospace, mobility, renewable energy and other industrial applications.

We are particularly interested in collaborating with:

• Universities, research organisations and technology centres developing sustainable materials, recyclable resins, recovered fibres or recycling processes.

• Material suppliers, recyclers and waste-management companies able to provide secondary raw materials or circular processing technologies.

• Manufacturers and end users interested in validating sustainable composite solutions under relevant operating conditions.

• Engineering, digitalisation and sustainability specialists contributing process simulation, traceability, life-cycle assessment or techno-economic analysis.

• Potential cooperation may include Horizon Europe and other European or national R&D proposals, technology transfer agreements, joint demonstrators, pilot validation and industrial scale-up activities.

Partners should ideally contribute a complementary technology, material, application case or route to market. FIDAMC offers the composite-material and manufacturing expertise required to convert promising sustainable technologies into validated components and industrially relevant solutions.
