Project Collaboration in Clinical Epigenetics and Environmental Oncology
Communication and PR Manager at isMOCLEP at International Society for Molecular and Clinical Epigenetics – isMOCLEP
Szczecin, Poland
About
As part of the strategic collaboration between the Independent Clinical Epigenetics Laboratory at the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin and the International Society for Molecular and Clinical Epigenetics (isMOCLEP), Ms. Katarzyna Zamaro, Communication and PR Manager at isMOCLEP, plays a vital role in bridging scientific efforts with institutional and industrial partners across Europe.
Professor Tomasz K. Wojdacz, who leads the Independent Clinical Epigenetics Laboratory at the Faculty of Medicine, Pomeranian Medical University (PMU), represents not only isMOCLEP but also a distinct and active research unit. This dual role enables direct translation of cutting-edge scientific work into international collaboration frameworks. We are currently seeking partners for joint participation in international projects, including the upcoming Horizon Europe Cancer Mission call (HORIZON-MISS-2025-02-CANCER-02) focused on the environmental drivers of cancer in children, adolescents, and young adults.
Katarzyna Zamaro's involvement significantly enhances our capacity to engage in such collaborations. Her strategic communication and partnership-building expertise complement our scientific capabilities and provide an essential interface with the Brussels-based policy and funding landscape. Through her actions, we ensure that research is effectively positioned for interdisciplinary, pan-European cooperation and long-term impact.
One of the core initiatives of isMOCLEP is the Clinical Epigenetics International Conference (CLEPIC), founded in 2022 and organized annually. CLEPIC has quickly become a key event in the field of epigenetics, providing a platform for global researchers, clinicians, and industry representatives to present and exchange the latest advancements. The upcoming CLEPIC 2025, to be held in Naples, Italy in collaboration with Università degli Studi della Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, will further reinforce this mission.
Aligned with our long-term vision, isMOCLEP, in cooperation with PMU, intends to develop a structured fellowship program for early-career researchers in epigenetic sciences. We also aim to launch an educational cycle focused on clinical and molecular epigenetics, creating open and inclusive access to knowledge, skill-building, and mentorship in this rapidly evolving field.
Together—with scientific leadership, strategic communication, and an expanding global network—we invite new partners to join us in building meaningful, high-impact collaborations that shape the future of epigenetic research and clinical application.
