Professor of Surgery and Health NCP for Egypt at Cairo University

About

Digital transformation in the healthcare sector: Infrastructure and applications will be addressed:

- Requirements for communication systems (infrastructure level) in the healthcare

sector and their specific performance characteristics

- Use cases of telemedical applications to ensure access to healthcare in rural areas and to avoid unnecessary and uneconomical hospitalizations.

- Use cases of telemedical training of medical students, telemedical training in

healthcare professions and telemedical partnerships and cooperations

- Use cases of (location-independent) research in the field of surgical simulation

- Research and development of new, digital MVPs (Minimum Viable Products) including the establishment of uniform, standardized procedures for determining local needs as well as implementation and scaling in global healthcare systems
