About 

The Green Innovation Awards 2026, powered by ENGIE, will form a dedicated competition and recognition segment within FIFTEE 2026. The GIA invite French and Indian companies and organisations to present innovative, practical solutions that advance the ecological and energy transition.

The Awards aim to recognize solutions that combine innovation with measurable real-world impact and strong potential for wider deployment. The GIA also provide a platform to strengthen India–France business ties, encourage ecosystem collaboration and help promising initiatives to move from ambition to implementation at scale.

The competition is open to a broad range of French and Indian organisations, from start-ups to MSMEs to large companies, joint ventures, NGOs, and other eligible entities. Applicants should submit a solution, project or initiative that has progressed beyond the purely conceptual stage and can demonstrate practical application or impact.

The finalists will pitch their projects before a jury and audience on 9th December 2026.

Key Dates:

Eligibility and Application Scope

• GIA are open to French and Indian organisations and Indo-French joint ventures
• Eligible entities: start-ups, MSMEs, large corporations, non-governmental organisations, thinks tanks presenting a specific project or initiative.
• Applications may concern a product or technology, a project or pilot, an operational innovation, a corporate sustainability or decarbonisation initiative, or a solution already deployed in the market.
• Applications should demonstrate a clear impact on environment, decorbonisation, biodiversity protection, attenuation of climate change or adaptation and be linked to relevant Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
• The required minimum maturity is beyond the purely conceptual stage: prototype or demonstration, pilot, deployed, or scaling. An idea without evidence of a prototype, pilot or implementation would generally not be eligible.

Application Process

Six simple steps, from application to finalist pitch:- 

1. Check Eligibility

The Green Innovation Awards are open to French and Indian organisations with an innovative solution, project or initiative contributing to the ecological and energy transition. Applicants should have an initiative that has progressed beyond the purely conceptual stage and demonstrates potential for practical application or impact.

2. Choose Your Theme

Select the thematic category that best corresponds to your organisation and solution. Choose the area in which your innovation has the strongest relevance and potential impact, based on the themes covered by the Green Innovation Awards.

3. Download the Application Document

Download the official application document using the link below. The application document will guide you through the information required about your organisation, innovation and its potential contribution to ecological and energy transition.

4. Fill in the Application

Complete the application form with the required information about your organisation and solution, project or initiative. Clearly describe the innovation, its objectives, current stage of development, environmental or energy impact, and its relevance to the selected theme.

5. Submit Your Application

Once the application form is complete, submit it by 6th November to Business France by email at vanshita.s@businessfrance.fr. Please use the following subject line to ensure your application is easily identified:  Green Innovation Awards 2026 – Application – [Organisation Name]

6. If Shortlisted

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to prepare a detailed presentation (the official template will be provided). The shortlisted organisations will present their solution and innovation live at FIFTEE 2026 on 9th December in New Delhi.
