About
EONSEA develops an innovative solution for underwater inspection, combining robotics, computer vision, and artificial intelligence to identify damages and pathologies in vessels and submerged infrastructure. Our goal is to improve maintenance decision-making, reduce operational costs, and minimize environmental risks in ports, marinas, and offshore platforms. We currently operate with commercial ROVs and functional computer vision models capable of detecting corrosion, biofouling, and structural anomalies in underwater videos and images. Our team processes footage obtained during inspections to generate detailed damage reports for clients. However, we are now transitioning from a semi-manual workflow to a scalable, fully-integrated platform that automates the processing, classification, and reporting steps. Our ambition is to evolve towards a complete inspection system: a hybrid solution combining hardware and software. On the hardware side, we aim to design and build custom ROVs with improved maneuverability, real-time data transmission, and multi-sensor capabilities. On the software side, we are developing a digital platform that allows clients to upload their own footage (recorded with ROVs or divers) and receive instant AI-based diagnostics. This platform will also integrate 3D reconstruction, anomaly tracking, and API connectivity with other port systems. EONSEA addresses a growing demand for automation in underwater infrastructure monitoring, driven by increasing regulation, labor shortages, and the need for more frequent inspections. Our approach eliminates the risks and costs of human diving, offering a safer and data-driven alternative. Our clients include port authorities, shipyards, and marine infrastructure operators across Europe and Latin America. We have already participated in national and European accelerator programs, validated our technology with early adopters, and built a strong academic and industrial network. Our next step is to bring our technology to industrial readiness, strengthen our hardware capabilities, and scale commercially.
