About

PESI, the Spanish Technology Platform on Industrial Safety & Security, belongs to the official network of National Technology Platforms approved by the National Research Agency in Spain. PESI is a non-profit Association to promote innovation and technology development (R&D) through cooperation between Industry (Corporations and SME, Engineering & Consultancy firms, Technology Providers) and Research Organizations. Our main targets are: Risk Management & Governance, Industrial Safety, OSH, Safety products & systems, Environmental Safety (and climate change affection), Emergencies Management, Safe transportation (industrial logistics) & Mobility, Corporate Security and Resilience, industrial Cybersecurity and the safety-security integration. Innovation and R&D are mainly focused on industrial Critical Infrastructures (energy, manufacturing, oil, chemistry, ICT…), utility networks (electricity grids, gas, water), Transport & Mobility infrastructures, and the Safe & Resilient City/Region. PESI is formed by +850 members, fully led by Industry (80%) and chaired by the biggest Corporations & Engineering companies. Technology Centres and Universities (10%) are also very active. Government, Public bodies and Associations (10%) cover the whole value chain of Civil Security in Spain. PESI collaborates with most of governamental Agencies at National level (Min. Interior, Nat. Centre of Critical Infrastructures Protection, Nat. Institute of Cybersecurity, Civil Protection and Emergencies Directorate, Min of Industry, Min of Labour and National Inst. Occupational Safety & Health, Min. Digital Transformation, Min. Transport and Mobility...) and EU (DGHOME, CERIS, JRC, EU-OSHA...) PESI is organising the Safety & Security Research Conference “S2R Forum“ (latest editions: 2016 in Bilbao and 2018,2022 and 2024 in Madrid inside SICUR exhibition) and several workshops on R&D and EU Work programmes.
