The University of Jaén is among the top 50 young universities in the world according to THE (Times Higher Education). UJA also received the EFQM 500+ European Seal of Excellence, the highest level of recognition awarded by the Excellence in Management Club, as the official representative in Spain of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM). It also climbed the ranking of the most transparent universities in Spain, taking second place, according to the sixth edition of the "Transparency Examination" report, published annually by the Commitment and Transparency Foundation. The report analyzes, for the sixth consecutive year, the transparency of the websites of 49 public universities and, for the fifth year, 26 private universities in Spain. It also stands out in the field of computer science, as the University of Jaén is among the 75 best universities in the world, according to ARWU 2017. The University of Jaén remains in the top 4% worldwide, according to the Ranking Center for World University Rankings (CWUR), which annually compiles the thousand best and most highly rated universities among the more than 25,000 existing universities.
