About

The GYRO-LINK project proposes the development of a TRL 8–9 hybrid autogyro (manned/unmanned) to address the operational gap between conventional helicopters and UAS. It is designed for multi-purpose defence and civil missions and offers medium-to-large payload capacity (600–1,000 kg), STOL capability, and reliable performance in turbulent or contested environments. Leveraging autorotation for efficient lift, AI-powered autonomous navigation, and a modular design, GYRO-LINK combines low operational costs with high mission adaptability. The platform is particularly relevant to disaster response in high-risk or conflict-affected zones, aligning directly with the objectives of HORIZON-CL3-2025-01-DRS-04, and supports strategic applications including logistics, CASEVAC, ISR, SaR, EW, and special operations.
