Transfer Office Director at CTME at CENTRO TECNOLOGICO DE MIRANDA DE EBRO
Miranda de Ebro, Spain
About
CTME's polymers and biopolymers research department has carried out intense work in the development of new materials from renewable sources, development of new formulations of advanced tailored plastics and bioplastics, new solutions for bio-packaging, lightweight and reinforced materials for a wide variety of industrial sectors.
The main activities of this research department are:
Development, formulation and characterization of new materials: biopolymers, composite materials and nanocomposites, extrusion (selective additive for elastomers and thermoplastics) and development of lightweight materials using foaming technologies.
Recovery of materials, recovery of waste, agri-food by-products to obtain bioplastics.
Characterization of the chemical composition, mechanical and thermal properties of thermoplastic and thermoset materials.
Development and formulation of technical application materials for additive manufacturing by 3D printing in FDM.
The department has extensive experience in IhD+I coordinating and participating in international and national research projects
