HORIZON-CL3-2025-01-SSRI-02: Uptake Acceleration Services
About
The project aims to accelerate the market uptake of innovative security solutions developed through EU-funded research by offering advanced support services tailored to both solution providers (start-ups, SMEs) and end users (security practitioners). It recognises that innovation uptake is a long, multifaceted process requiring a supportive ecosystem from the early stages of research through to post-project implementation. To this end, the initiative will provide a blend of supply- and demand-oriented services, such as proof of concept support, market research, investor matchmaking, skills training, and legal/ethical assessments, with some services delivered broadly (e.g., online materials) and others provided on demand.
A central goal is to establish a sustainable, self-standing support mechanism that strengthens cooperation between security stakeholders, enhances technology transfer, and ultimately fosters a more robust European security innovation ecosystem. Proposals must demonstrate deep knowledge of the security landscape and proven experience in innovation management. They should outline transparent and effective support selection processes, ensure community and geographical representativeness, and build upon previous EU initiatives. Furthermore, the project must propose a viable model for sustaining these services beyond its funding period, potentially through a permanent service platform.
