About
At the UPM we have developed the worlds highest performing liquid crystal (LC) based tunable lenses, in terms of active area and focal range. Being based on LC technology they are characterised by low power consumption, low weight, and low voltage, and if a mass market is identified, a very very low production price.
The potential application of these lenses range from adaptive eyewear and AR/VR glasses to telescopes, surveilance camera and
Our interest is to define a market for these lenses and to develop specific lenses for this market with an intention of transfer of technology.
