Plenary – Opening and panel: Generative AI – what works and what’s worth it?
A fact-based discussion giving a roadmap to navigate between hype and negativity. This session clarifies the state of GenAI today: the evidence for what it does well, where it falls short, and when alternatives are a better fit. We ask which uses justify investment (for society and organisations) and which do not, and what enabling conditions are essential.
The session is a moderated discussion between leading experts on AI and its implementations from technical, social and industry perspectives followed by audience questions.
Speakers (More details to be announced):
- Prof. Michael Rovatsos, University of Edinburgh
With the panel sessions we aim to:
-
clarify the status of and opportunities for deploying generative AI and other data and digital technologies
-
highlight verifiable benefit and uses with a demonstrated business value
-
inspire engagement and collaboration around opportunities and challenges
We invite attendees to contribute their questions and perspectives during the time for questions and answers.
