ExecLayer is developing execution-control infrastructure for AI systems operating in high-consequence and regulated environments.
As organisations move from AI systems that analyze information and generate recommendations to agents that update records, initiate workflows, invoke tools and take actions across enterprise systems, the governance problem changes. Monitoring and audit trails can show what happened, but they do not necessarily determine whether a particular action was authorized before it occurred.
ExecLayer is designed to provide a deterministic control point between AI-generated intent and execution. It evaluates proposed actions against explicit constraints concerning actor identity, delegated authority, permitted scope, target resources, purpose, applicable policy and contextual risk. The system can allow, deny or escalate an action before execution and generate evidence of the authorization decision.
In pharmaceutical and other regulated environments, potential applications include AI-assisted quality workflows, deviation and CAPA processes, controlled-record changes, regulatory operations, supplier-quality decisions, manufacturing and engineering workflows, and agents operating across multiple validated systems.
ExecLayer is intended to complement existing identity management, cybersecurity, validation, quality-management, monitoring and audit controls. It is not presented as a substitute for GxP validation, accountable human oversight or regulatory review.
We are interested in connecting with pharmaceutical companies, Quality and Compliance leaders, enterprise AI teams, QMS and ERP providers, AI platforms, validation specialists, systems integrators and regulatory consultancies. We are particularly interested in design partnerships and technical collaborations involving bounded AI actions inside regulated workflows.
