EMCare: Project Cooperation Opportunity to Extend a Digital Biomarker Platform to New Neurological Indications

CSO at MAUTILUS EHEALTH SL

Madrid, Spain

About

Mautilus eHealth is seeking project cooperation partners to extend the EMCare platform beyond Multiple Sclerosis into other neurological and neurodegenerative indications. EMCare's core technology — passive, continuous monitoring of cognitive and motor function through everyday smartphone interaction patterns such as typing and tapping speed — captures subtle functional decline without requiring any active patient effort, a key advantage over traditional questionnaire- or clinic-based assessments that suffer from low adherence and infrequent data points.

This same underlying approach is well suited to other conditions marked by progressive cognitive or motor impairment, including Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, and additional neurodegenerative and neurological disorders where early, objective detection of functional change is clinically valuable. Having already built the core algorithmic and data-collection infrastructure in Multiple Sclerosis, Mautilus is well positioned to adapt and revalidate this platform for new indications in collaboration with clinical, academic, and industry partners.

We are looking for cooperation partners — clinical research groups, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, or research consortia — with expertise or patient populations in these target indications, interested in co-developing indication-specific validation studies, sharing complementary datasets, or jointly pursuing collaborative funding opportunities (such as EU or national research programs) to bring this passive digital biomarker approach to new areas of neurological disease.
