Research in healthcare and energy efficiency through AI, Big Data, IoT and e-health. Advanced algorithmic techniques and intelligent models applied in clinical contexts.

Healthcare Informatics Research
Interdisciplinary group addressing the needs of Health Sciences through ICTs, AI, gamification, process modelling and risk perception.

Communications, Multirate Signal Processing and Biomedical Engineering
Design of techniques for biomedical signal processing, ECG encoding, pathology detection, and development of advanced communication systems.

Biomedical Engineering Research Group
Development of medical instrumentation, medical imaging, virtual reality, telemedicine, robotic surgery and diagnostic support systems.
