Accelerating Advanced Materials Innovation and Collaboration in Austria
The FAME-Ecosys Austria Event brings together key stakeholders from research, industry, policymaking, and innovation support to strengthen collaboration across Austria’s advanced materials ecosystem.
As part of the European FAME-Ecosys (Future of the European Advanced Materials Ecosystem) event series, organized within the InnoMatSyn project in collaboration with the IAM-I Association, the regional host and cooperation partners, the event links regional initiatives with the wider European advanced materials landscape.
Hosted in Graz, Styria, by the Styrian Business Promotion Agency (SFG) and cooperation partners BioNanoNet (BNN) and JOANNEUM RESEARCH the event welcomes participants from the regional, national, and international advanced materials community. It provides a platform to exchange ideas, showcase innovations, discuss future trends and funding opportunities, and build new partnerships that support a stronger and more connected European advanced materials ecosystem.
The event will provide a platform to align strategic priorities, exchange experiences, and strengthen collaboration across the advanced materials ecosystem. Key discussion topics include:
-
Identifying common strategic directions through content co-creation, connecting regional, national, and European priorities, and maximizing synergies.
-
Strengthening collaboration and implementation by exchanging best practices on governance, organizational processes, timelines, and regional approaches.
-
Building on existing strengths by leveraging research and technology infrastructures, existing knowledge, and successful initiatives to accelerate innovation and address technological and infrastructure gaps.
The outcomes of the event will contribute to and support:
-
Regional and national advanced materials and innovation strategies.
-
The European Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) coordinated by the IAM-I Association.
-
The further development of the InnoMatSyn advanced materials ecosystem and related funding strategies.
-
Future European Framework Programme initiatives and partnerships (e.g. IAM4EU, Processes4Planet, Made in Europe).
-
Ongoing European policy developments, including the Advanced Materials Act.
An important part of the event will also be the B2B meetings, organized by the Enterprise Europe Network at SFG. These meetings will provide participants with the opportunity to connect with potential cooperation partners from research, industry, and innovation support organizations, fostering new collaborations and project opportunities within the advanced materials ecosystem.
