1. Who is responsible for your data

2. What data we collect
When you register for this event via B2match, we collect only the information necessary to process your registration: full name, email address, organisation or institution, country, and any additional fields shown in the registration form where required for the event.
3. Why we use your data and the legal basis
We use your data to confirm your registration and send you event-related information. The legal basis for this is performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
If your name and organisation are shared with other registered participants, this is done for the purpose of facilitating networking and B2B meetings, which is the core purpose of this event. The legal basis for this is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). By registering for a networking event, participants can reasonably expect their professional details to be visible to other attendees.
If you opt in to receive future newsletters or project updates from EVBB, this is also based on consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and is entirely optional.
4. Who can access your data
Your data is accessible to EVBB staff involved in organising this event. It is also processed by B2match GmbH, our event platform provider, who acts as a data processor under a Data Processing Agreement in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. As this is a networking event, your name and organisation will be visible to other registered participants, as this is the core purpose of the event. Your data will not be sold or passed to third parties for marketing purposes.
5. How long we keep your data
Registration data will be deleted no later than three after the event, unless you have separately consented to further communications from EVBB or unless legal retention obligations require otherwise.
6. Your rights
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. As EVBB is registered in Germany, the competent authority is the BfDI (www.bfdi.bund.de). If you are based in or attending the event in Greece, you may also contact the Greek data protection authority, the HDPA (www.dpa.gr).
