Thursday, 21 May

  • 13:50–14:50 – Maritime Security Power for the EU

Friday, 22 May:

  • 09:00–10:00 – High-Level Plenary"A present and future sustainable and competitive EU fisheries and aquaculture sector"

  • 10:15–11:15 – High-Level Plenary"Ocean Eye"

  • 16:30–17:15 – Plenary"Energy Transition for the EU Fisheries and Aquaculture"

  • 17:20–18:10 – Closing Session

WORKSHOPS

Thematic workshops organised by maritime stakeholders are at the core of the conference. Workshop organisers design and manage their sessions and each workshop lasts 1h15.

23 workshops will take place in this edition under the following themes:

  • Coastal communities: resilience, challenges and opportunities

  • Maritime security and surveillance

  • Blue economy sectors

  • Blue Energy (Marine renewable energy, alternative fuels, energy transition, decarbonisation, desalination, port adaptation etc.)

  • Enablers (marine research, innovation, technology, observation, blue skills, MSP, digitalisation, investment, ocean literacy etc.)

  • Maritime Cooperation (regional, sea-basins, Civil Society, stakeholder relations etc.)

  • Food security (blue biotechnology, aquaculture, fisheries, algae, biodiversity etc.)

GRAPHIC RECORDER

At the EMD, we have the pleasure of enjoying the drawings of Fanny Didou for the third EMD year, who will follow plenary sessions and bring her input in the format of drawings linked to EMD speakers, networking, thematic conclusions and such.

Fanny Didou is an artist and graphic recorder. She focuses on environmental and social change. She uses systems thinking with art to support dialogue, creating images in real time during conferences and workshops.
