About me

I have over 30 years’ experience in managing and protecting marine resources with different government agencies in a variety of roles including in marine planning; policy advice; Marine Protected Areas; species protection; biodiversity planning; environmental impact assessment of a range of human activities; evidence and research programmes; emergency response; and pollution monitoring. I have worked within and at the interface between science, policy, and management, to deliver objectives on the ground that take account of future needs as well as current issues, often in the context of complexity and uncertainty.
