About me
Prof. Luisa Di Paola got her doctorate in Chemical Industrial Processes at the University Roma “La Sapienza” in 2001. She collaborated, during her doctorate, with prof. JM Prausnitz and H. Blanch at the University of California at Berkeley. In 2022 she was a Fulbright Research Scholar at the University of Nevada, Reno: she collaborated with the group of Prof. David Leitner, her research focused on the alignment of the different computational approaches to unravel protein allostery.
Currently she is Associate Professor in the Faculty of Science and Technology for Sustainable Devolopment and One Health at the University Campus Biomedico in Rome. She’s cofounder and CEO of the startup Winged srl, active in the field of circular bioeconomy and industrial biotechnology.
Her research interests span from circular economy to bioinformatics. She’s author of more than 100 papers and chapters in international journals and books. She’s Editor-in-chief of the "International Journal of Biochemistry Research & Review", Associate Editor for Journal of Physical Chemistry & Biophysics; Advances in Systems Biology, Pharmaceuticals, Frontiers in Medical Engineering; International Journal of Medical Biotechnology & Genetics (IJMBG) and Book Review Editor for "Current Bioinformatics".
