Vinnova is Sweden's innovation agency. Our mission is to strengthen Sweden's competitiveness. By promoting innovative capacity and international connectivity for sustainable growth we can achieve this.

Government expert authority

Vinnova is a state public authority under the Ministry of Climate and Enterprise and the national contact authority for the EU's framework programme for research and innovation. We are also the government's expert authority in the area of innovation policy. We are the national funding agency in Sweden for Eureka Calls and projects.

Vinnova helps organizations think new and do things differently

We do this by:

• bringing together companies, researchers, the public sector and civil society in common directions. Together they can create the development Sweden needs.

• stimulating collaboration across traditional boundaries. This is so that policy development will pave the way for innovation that makes a difference.

• providing the opportunity to experiment and test new ideas before they become profitable.

• strengthening international connectivity through partnerships and EU programme.
