EU Finance Day 2026 - Cyprus
17 March 2026|
Nicosia, Cyprus
Registration open until 17 Mar 2026
As the global economy evolves, enhancing Europe’s competitiveness is more important than ever. The European Commission is dedicated to streamlining business operations and strengthening the Single Market to ensure long-term prosperity. Building upon its new Competitiveness Compass, a strategic guide for economic growth and productivity, driven by innovation and sustainability, the Commission has recently presented its Clean Industrial Deal with concrete actions to turn decarbonisation into a driver of growth for European industries. In addition, the Commission has proposed its first omnibus, a new package of proposals to simplify EU rules on sustainability and EU investments, all to boost competitiveness, and unlock additional investment capacity. Furthermore, the newly established European Competitiveness Fund aims to provide essential financial support to drive innovation and strengthen technological progress. By focusing on advanced technologies and sustainable practices, this fund seeks to enhance the resilience and global leadership of European industries.
In this context, a series of events “2026 EU Finance Days: Financing Competitiveness”, will showcase how the topics of competitiveness and sustainability intersect on a European scale. The fourth event will take place on 17 March in Nicosia, Cyprus.
This event will bring together policymakers and key stakeholders – including representatives from Cyprus’ authorities and the business and financial sectors – to steer the debate on boosting the European competitiveness. The event will also explore the InvestEU sustainability guarantee, offering attendees the opportunity to engage directly with the InvestEU implementing partners and beneficiaries.
