Our Ukraine Intelligence Work

Challenger Research is delivering a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary intelligence package on Ukraine's reconstruction landscape. Our outputs include a psychological impact analysis of persistent drone warfare on civilian populations, an anthropological field assessment of environmental and civilian risks in Kharkiv drawing on ethnographic interviews and community intelligence, a historical and societal analysis of infrastructural fragmentation and recovery authored by UCL academics, a detailed environmental contamination assessment covering water, land, and air pollution risks and their implications for reconstruction sequencing, and a policy brief translating environmental evidence into governance and investment decision-making frameworks. This analytical work is underpinned by our proprietary OSINT capability, including specialist procurement intelligence and satellite imagery analysis providing independent, ground-verified assessment of infrastructure damage, supply chain conditions, and reconstruction progress.

UAS Governance & European Readiness

Challenger Research has completed a strategic assessment of UAS and counter-UAS policy across European jurisdictions, examining the governance gap between current regulatory frameworks and the operational realities demonstrated by the conflict in Ukraine. As European institutions grapple with the strategic implications of drone warfare, our research provides policymakers, defence organisations, and investors with the intelligence needed to close that gap before the next crisis.
