Aviogel: Aerial Firefighting and Scalable Ecosystem Restoration

Aviogel presents a scalable, dual-use solution for Ukraine that integrates advanced aerial firefighting with long-term environmental restoration and land regeneration. Our biodegradable hydrogel spheres can be deployed via aircraft or unmanned aerial systems (UAS) to enhance wildfire suppression by improving water retention, reducing evaporation, and increasing targeting precision in complex or high-risk environments. This capability is particularly valuable in areas where infrastructure is damaged or access is limited, enabling rapid, effective response across large and difficult terrains.

Beyond immediate firefighting, Aviogel offers a structured pathway for ecological recovery. Using the same aerial delivery platforms, seed-infused hydrogel spheres can be distributed across fire-affected, degraded, or conflict-damaged landscapes. These spheres are engineered to contain tailored combinations of native seeds, nutrients, soil stabilizers, and moisture-retaining compounds, designed specifically for Ukraine’s diverse ecosystems. For forested regions, this may include native tree species and understory vegetation to accelerate reforestation and restore biodiversity. In agricultural zones, customized formulations can support soil rehabilitation, improve water retention, crop seeding, and reintroduce cover crops or grasses to prevent erosion, rebuild soil structure, and prepare land for future cultivation.

Aviogel would work in close coordination with Ukrainian authorities, local agronomists, forestry experts, and environmental agencies to develop region-specific formulations aligned with soil conditions, climate, and restoration priorities. Deployment strategies could include drone-based precision seeding for targeted areas such as riverbanks, burned forest corridors, or fragmented agricultural land, as well as large-scale aerial distribution for broad landscape recovery. By combining operational efficiency with ecological intelligence, Aviogel enables Ukraine to transform damaged terrain into regenerating ecosystems, supporting food security, environmental resilience, and long-term land stewardship.
