Logistics for Heavy Machinery & Rolling Stock

Business Development Manager at Ahlers Logistics

Hamburg, Germany

About

Ahlers Logistics specializes in delivering rolling stock and heavy machinery for construction, agriculture, mining, and first responders — key sectors for Ukraine’s rebuilding. With strong partnerships with major manufacturers and local dealers, we provide tailored solutions for tackling the country’s logistical challenges.

Transporting oversized machinery in Ukraine requires expertise due to rail track limitations, infrastructural damage, and re-routing through cities. When rail is unavailable, last-mile delivery by truck is necessary, complicated by unpredictable road conditions. Oversized transport permits are short-term, demanding precise planning. Additionally, machinery cannot be disassembled due to a shortage of welding specialists, making transport planning even more critical.

We tackle these challenges with dedicated on-the-ground support at every stage, including additional road surveys and careful route planning to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
