VUK is a research institution dedicated to a wide range of natural science fields. At our workplaces in Průhonice and Brno, we strive for high-quality research into the landscape and its ecosystems, the relationships between plants, animals and human activity. We also create practical designs, technologies and maps serving the management of Czech nature. We also participate in international projects and cooperate with many local institutes and administrative units.
About me
My research mainly focuses on the biogeochemistry of soils and isotope ecology for studying soil organic carbon (SOC) and nitrogen (N) dynamics in terrestrial ecosystems. I am also intrigued by paleoecology and paleoenvironmental studies using lipid biomarkers and compound-specific stable isotope analysis.
