My organisation

The Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC) is a non-profit research institution based in Castelldefels (Barcelona), resulting from a public initiative of the Regional Government of Catalonia (Generalitat de Catalunya). Research activities at the CTTC, both fundamental and applied, mainly focus on technologies related to the physical, data-link and network layers of communication systems, and to the Geomatics.

About me

Dr. Raúl Parada Medina is a telecommunications engineer and researcher at the Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC), in the Sustainable Artificial Intelligence (SAI) unit. His expertise includes wireless communications, machine learning, and the Internet of Things (IoT). He earned his Ph.D. in ICT from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2016, and previously completed degrees at UPC and DTU. He has worked on 5G, RFID, millimeter-wave communications, wireless sensor networks and spiking neural networks, including a postdoc at the University of Padova. Dr. Parada has published extensively, supervised over 100 student projects, and currently teaches at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC).
