Development of a methodology and manual for the assessment, mapping and validation of ecosystem services provided by Agroecosystems in Bulgaria. Identification of representative agroecosystems. Development of steps and methods for data collection and analysis. Development of a list of indicators of land cover condition and a rating scale to rank the services provided by each identified agroecosystem.

Detailed review of existing information on the type, location, results of the Environment Agency annual reports on the extent of salinization and acidification at each monitoring point. A baseline analysis and draft Monitoring Network Update and Optimization - Level II. Constructed a pilot soil monitoring network model accounting for the representativeness of existing and newly proposed locations of sites. Actual field visit and localization of the proposed monitoring sites for change together with EEA teams. Proposal for optimization of the soil monitoring network prepared.
