infrared.city - AI-driven Microclimate Simulations
About
infrared.city is an AI-powered platform that brings high-speed, high-accuracy climate simulations into the hands of architects, planners, and policymakers. Our core innovation lies in using machine learning to replicate complex environmental simulations—such as wind comfort, solar radiation, and thermal conditions—at a fraction of the time and cost of conventional methods. Simulations that traditionally require days of expert setup and computational resources can now be run in real time, with over 90% accuracy and seamless integration into design workflows.
Designed as a modular “Simulation-as-a-Service” (SimaaS), infrared.city enables access through a web application, CAD/BIM plug-ins, and an open API. This flexible architecture allows users to evaluate climate performance directly within their existing tools—without requiring technical expertise in simulation. The platform serves as a bridge between climate science and practical design, enabling real-time feedback loops that improve sustainability outcomes and enhance climate resilience from the earliest stages of urban development.
Our AI models are trained on tens of thousands of simulation results from hundreds of cities worldwide, and we continuously expand our capabilities to include urban heat islands, indoor comfort metrics, and predictive climate scenarios. This makes infrared.city not only a simulation tool, but a comprehensive climate intelligence layer for the built environment. By combining simulation prediction with automated reporting, interactive dashboards, and AI-assisted design recommendations, we help cities, developers, and planners align with sustainability goals, EU taxonomy requirements, and climate adaptation strategies.
We are actively seeking research and innovation partners to integrate our technology into digital twins, sustainable building design platforms, energy-efficient renovation strategies, and urban policy support tools. Whether for Horizon Europe Missions (Climate-Neutral Cities, Adaptation to Climate Change) or innovation actions in the built environment, infrared.city can serve as the environmental intelligence engine for data-informed decision-making.
