R&D cooperation for AI-powered grid intelligence and medium-voltage fault location systems

CoFounder /Technology Director at NuManufacturing IoT & AI Technologies AS

Istanbul, Türkiye

About

Numanufacturing is developing intelligent fault location and grid monitoring technologies for medium-voltage distribution networks. The system combines travelling wave fault location principles, sensor fusion, high-speed signal acquisition, Edge AI and map-based field dispatch intelligence.

The goal is to help utilities detect, classify and localize faults faster, reduce outage duration and improve field response accuracy.

Potential project areas:

  • Medium-voltage line fault detection

  • Travelling Wave Fault Locator algorithm development

  • AI-based fault classification

  • Phase-to-ground, phase-to-phase and arc/spark fault analysis

  • Sensor fusion for grid events

  • Edge AI processing at substations or feeder points

  • SCADA / utility software integration

  • Map-based dispatch and maintenance workflows

  • Predictive maintenance for distribution networks

Ideal partners:

  • Electricity distribution companies

  • Renewable energy operators

  • Grid modernization companies

  • Electrical engineering companies

  • SCADA / GIS software providers

  • Universities and power systems research labs

  • Public energy agencies

  • Infrastructure investors

Cooperation model:
We are open to R&D partnerships, pilot deployment, joint grant applications and commercial cooperation. A first project can be designed around one distribution feeder, one substation area or one renewable energy connection zone.

What we offer:

  • Fault location system architecture

  • Sensor fusion and Edge AI know-how

  • TWFL algorithm development experience

  • AI/ML-based signal classification

  • Field dashboard and dispatch logic

  • Industrial AI platform integration

What we are looking for:

  • Utility pilot partners

  • Grid data access for R&D

  • Test sites

  • Electrical engineering partners

  • Regional integrators

  • R&D funding cooperation

  • Balkan energy sector partners
