MMM – Industrial Decarbonisation & Climate Adaptation for Natural Stone Value Chains

MMM (Mermer • Marmo • Mármol) is a Horizon Europe initiative currently under development for HORIZON-CID-2026-01-01 – Decarbonisation of Energy Intensive Industries.

The project explores how natural stone companies can accelerate industrial decarbonisation, improve resource efficiency, strengthen climate preparedness and support long-term competitiveness through a common industrial transformation framework.

MMM is being developed around real industrial environments and seeks to validate transformation pathways across different natural stone production systems and geographical regions. Pilot activities are currently being explored in Türkiye, Italy, Spain, Albania, Portugal and Greece.

We are interested in connecting with organisations active in:

• Natural stone extraction and processing

• Quarry operations

• Industrial decarbonisation technologies

• Energy and water efficiency solutions

• Industrial digitalisation and monitoring systems

• Circular economy and by-product valorisation

• Environmental assessment and sustainability methodologies

• Research organisations and universities

• Industrial associations and clusters

We welcome discussions with industrial companies, technology providers, research organisations and deployment partners interested in contributing to a future Pan-European consortium.
