Prevention and Early Detection: Shifting the Trajectory (Session A)
This panel will explore how innovative prevention strategies (roundtable discussion 1) and early detection approaches (round table discussion 2) can significantly reduce cancer incidence and improve survival across Europe and beyond. Researchers and policymakers, , including from the National Cancer Centre Japan, will discuss how scientific advances, risk-based screening, and behavioural interventions can be translated into effective public health policies and healthcare practices. By highlighting successful initiatives and emerging tools, the panel will examine how the uptake of prevention and screening solutions can be accelerated across different health systems and population groups in Europe, including underserved and vulnerable communities. Attention will be given to reducing inequalities in access to prevention and early diagnosis to ensure that all citizens benefit.
