Understanding Cancer and importance of data exchange, 2nd part (Session A)

Format:Live streamTrack:Session

The transition towards precision oncology and the objectives of the EU Cancer Mission are driven by a set of technological enablers. These technologies do not act in isolation; they form an integrated ecosystem that supports the shift from population-based treatments to personalised care. This session will explore how advances in Virtual Human Twins (VHTs), cancer genomics and artificial intelligence (AI) are transforming cancer research and care. It will showcase Cancer Mission, Horizon Europe Health Cluster and Digital Europe projects.

Key topics to be addressed:

For the first round of rapid-fire presentations and roundtable discussions:

  • How advances in VHTs can improve the understanding of cancer initiation and progression and support the design of personalised treatments.

  • The role of high-performance computing and AI in supporting cancer data modelling, analysis and the development of clinical support systems
