INCLIVA Biomedical Research Institute is a leading biomedical research institute based in Valencia, Spain. Founded in 2000 and accredited as a Health Research Institute by the Carlos III Health Institute (ISCIII) since 2011, INCLIVA manages biomedical research conducted by the Hospital Clínico Universitario de València and the València Clínico-Malvarrosa Health Department, and also integrates research groups from the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry of the University of Valencia and the Carlos Simon Foundation.
With more than 700 researchers, INCLIVA promotes multidisciplinary and translational research aimed at addressing major health challenges and bringing scientific advances closer to patients and clinical practice. Its scientific activity is organised into five main research areas: Cancer; Cardiovascular Diseases; Women's Health; Rare Diseases; and Ageing, Inflammation and Chronic Diseases.
INCLIVA has a strong focus on clinical and translational research, supporting studies ranging from basic and experimental research to clinical trials and medical device investigations. Its scientific and technological platforms provide specialised expertise and infrastructure in areas such as precision medicine, genomics and epigenetics, bioinformatics, biostatistics, biomarkers, molecular and cellular analysis, biomedical imaging and clinical research.
The Institute also promotes innovation, knowledge transfer and collaboration with industry, supporting the development and translation of new healthcare technologies and solutions. Its international activity includes participation in European and international research projects and networks, strengthening collaboration with research and healthcare organisations beyond Spain.
Within this innovation ecosystem, the INCLIVA Living Lab provides a hospital-based environment for the co-creation, testing and early validation of healthcare innovations. By connecting healthcare professionals, researchers, patients, innovators and companies, the Living Lab supports user-centred development and helps bridge the gap between technological innovation and real clinical needs.
Through the integration of research, clinical practice, innovation and knowledge transfer, INCLIVA seeks to accelerate the translation of scientific knowledge into solutions that improve healthcare and patient outcomes.
