Resilient Solar Micro-Grids in Mexico: Pilot Deployment and Impact Assessment
About
Our project will assess the impact and viability of rapidly deployable, off-grid solar micro-grids in underserved regions of Mexico, with a focus on improving energy independence and resilience in communities affected by limited or unreliable grid access.
The project will pilot the deployment of Iris micro-grid systems to provide community-scale solar power that can be installed quickly without the need for grid connection, permitting, or complex infrastructure.
System performance, energy generation, and deployment progress will be monitored remotely via our app, the Iris Dashboard, enabling transparent reporting and data-driven evaluation of technical performance and community impact. Insights from the project will inform future scalable deployments of resilient, off-grid energy solutions across similar contexts.
