About
Thermocouples are available in different standard types. The choice of the suitable sensor depends on the measurement object, temperature range, placement, dimensional accuracy, etc.
The most common sensors are NiCrNi (type K) and FeCuNI (type J) in thermocouples, as well as in Pt100 in resistance sensors.
Standard types of thermocouples and Pt100 sensors are available in stock. In addition to these, also many other types of sensors are available.
Thermocouples according to DIN 60584:
• Iron-Constantan (FeCuNi, J-type), conductors black +, white -.
• Nickel-Chromium-Nickel (NiCrNi, K-type), conductors green +, white -.
Mineral insulated thermocouples MT 1.5 and MT 3.0
Maximum operating temperatures:
• Sensor: FeCuNi and Pt100 +600 °C, NiCrNi +1000 °C (not recommended for long periods above 800 °C)
• Silicone cable 180-200°C
• Metal braided cable 400 °C
