Wroclaw University of Health and Sport Sciences

Wroclaw University of Health and Sport Sciences (WUHaSS) is a Polish higher education and research institution focused on health, sport, physical activity, physiotherapy and human performance. Located in Wrocław, it combines education, scientific research and cooperation with sport organisations, healthcare professionals and practitioners.

The University’s research capacity includes exercise physiology, sports performance, training-load monitoring, fatigue and recovery, injury prevention, biomechanics, psychomotor performance, motor control, athlete development and health-related physical activity. Research is conducted in both laboratory and field settings and involves physiological, neuromuscular, biomechanical, psychomotor and performance assessments.

WUHaSS is interested in international applied research projects that connect scientific expertise with practical needs in sport, health and human performance. In the context of POLNORIS and the EEA Grants, the University is particularly interested in cooperation on multimodal athlete monitoring, individual fatigue thresholds, training readiness, wearable and sensor technologies, data science and AI, and validation across football and endurance sports.

The University can contribute expertise in study design, athlete testing, exercise physiology, psychomotor assessment, football performance, training-load analysis and the translation of research findings into practice. It can also support access to athlete populations and sport-performance environments through its academic and sporting networks.

WUHaSS is open both to leading a Polish–Norwegian consortium as Project Promoter and to joining complementary consortia as a Project Partner. The University welcomes cooperation with universities, research institutes, sports organisations, technology developers and other eligible partners whose expertise can strengthen the scientific and practical impact of collaborative projects.
