New Science Lab (NSL) is a Polish deep-tech company developing AI-driven engineering, simulation and optimisation technologies for complex industrial applications.
We combine artificial intelligence, generative design, numerical simulation and engineering optimisation to accelerate product development and improve the energy efficiency and performance of physical systems.
Our current R&D activities focus on two major technology directions:
HullGen – AI-driven marine design and hydrodynamic optimisation.
HullGen is a computational platform for generating, evaluating and optimising vessel hull geometries for specific operating conditions and mission profiles. It combines generative design, optimisation algorithms, hydrodynamic simulation and engineering validation. The objective is to reduce hydrodynamic resistance, propulsion energy requirements and emissions while significantly shortening the traditional design iteration process. Initial proof-of-concept work has demonstrated promising resistance-reduction potential, and the technology is now being prepared for further industrial research and experimental validation.
AI-driven engineering optimisation in cooperation with Swiss Rotors.
NSL is also developing an advanced engineering project with Swiss Rotors focused on applying AI, numerical simulation and optimisation methods to high-efficiency air-movement and energy-recovery systems. The objective is to improve aerodynamic and energy performance while accelerating the design–simulation–validation cycle.
These projects build on a common technological capability: using AI and advanced computational methods to optimise complex physical systems governed by fluid dynamics.
For POLNORIS, New Science Lab is interested in establishing R&D cooperation with research organisations from Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein, particularly in the fields of:
• computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
• hydrodynamics and naval architecture
• aerodynamics and fluid machinery
• AI-based engineering optimisation and generative design
• surrogate modelling and digital twins
• experimental testing and validation
• energy-efficient maritime technologies
• autonomous and unmanned marine systems
• energy-efficient industrial systems
We are particularly interested in joint industrial research and experimental development projects combining AI, simulation, physical validation and commercial application.
Our primary POLNORIS focus is aligned with the European green transition, through technologies capable of reducing energy consumption, improving system efficiency and lowering the environmental impact of maritime and industrial applications.
