Department and Clinic of Dermatology, Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Clinical Immunology, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn

The Department and Clinic of Dermatology, Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Clinical Immunology is a clinical, research and teaching unit of the Faculty of Medicine, Collegium Medicum, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland. Established in 2011, the Department combines high-quality patient care with translational research and medical education. It provides specialized dermatological services and conducts undergraduate and postgraduate training for medical professionals. Our research focuses on inflammatory skin diseases, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, autoimmune blistering diseases, skin allergy, dermato-oncology, pediatric dermatology, immunodermatology and sexually transmitted infections. The Department has extensive experience in conducting clinical studies, observational research, translational medicine projects and multidisciplinary collaborations involving clinicians, immunologists, microbiologists, molecular biologists and biomedical engineers. We are actively developing research in non-invasive skin imaging, including dermoscopy and emerging optical imaging technologies, as well as biomarker discovery, skin microbiome research and precision dermatology. The Department maintains long-standing collaborations with national and international academic institutions and participates in international scientific networks, contributing to high-impact publications and innovation in dermatology. We are seeking partners from academia, research institutes, healthcare organizations and industry to develop collaborative projects within the POLNORIS programme and other European funding schemes. Our expertise covers clinical research, patient recruitment, translational studies, clinical validation of innovative technologies and implementation of research outcomes into everyday clinical practice.
