Machine Learning and AI for Bioinformatics and Biomedical Research

Research Assistant at Universität Liechtenstein

Vaduz, Liechtenstein

About

Expertise offered

I am a doctoral researcher at the University of Liechtenstein with experience in machine learning, computational bioinformatics, statistical modelling, and biomedical data analysis.

My recent research includes the development and evaluation of machine learning models for predicting the phenotypic effects of genetic variants in blood-group proteins. This work involved integrating physicochemical properties, protein structural information, evolutionary conservation, and computational prediction scores to investigate genotype-phenotype relationships.

My technical expertise includes:

  • Machine learning and predictive modelling using Python

  • Statistical analysis and biomedical data processing

  • Feature engineering and model evaluation

  • Classification of biological and biomedical data

  • Protein variant effect prediction and genotype-phenotype analysis

  • Interpretable machine learning and statistical validation

Research collaboration interests

I am interested in contributing to interdisciplinary research projects involving:

  • Artificial intelligence and machine learning in bioinformatics

  • Computational biology and protein analysis

  • Genetic variant interpretation and functional prediction

  • Biomedical data science and predictive analytics

  • Novel data-driven approaches to biological and medical research

Collaboration opportunities

I am open to collaborating with Polish universities, research institutes, and interdisciplinary research teams developing innovative applications of AI and machine learning in the life sciences.

I would be particularly interested in contributing computational and data science expertise to existing research initiatives or jointly exploring new research directions.

I welcome discussions on potential scientific collaborations and joint research proposals under the EEA Grants Applied Research and Innovation Programme.
