BlueBioMat – Circular Bio-Based Materials for Sustainable Water & Wastewater Treatment

About
BlueBioMat is a new Polish–Norwegian project concept focused on developing next-generation circular bio-based materials for sustainable water and wastewater treatment.
The project aims to transform renewable and recycled lignocellulosic biomass into multifunctional materials capable of efficient contaminant removal and long-term retention. The solutions are intended for industrial wastewater, mining and flotation effluents, contaminated surface waters and other challenging environmental applications.
We are looking for research organisations, universities, RTOs and industrial companies interested in jointly developing innovative, scalable and implementation-oriented technologies within the framework of the EEA Grants.
We are particularly interested in partners with expertise in:

water and wastewater treatment,

industrial and mining effluents,

environmental engineering,
-
contaminant removal technologies,

pilot-scale validation and demonstration,

life-cycle assessment (LCA),

techno-economic assessment (TEA),
-
circular economy and sustainable resource management.
We welcome both research and industrial partners interested in building a long-term collaboration extending beyond a single project towards future Horizon Europe and other international funding opportunities.
