EEA and Norway Grants Matchmaking Event during Oslo Innovation Week 2026
Innovation Norway is organising an EEA and Norway Grants Matchmaking Event during Oslo Innovation Week 2026. The event will take place in Oslo on 20 October 2026 and is designed as a cross-programme event under the EEA and Norway Grants.
The event will bring together companies and relevant stakeholders from Norway and selected beneficiary countries to explore opportunities for project partnerships, business cooperation and innovation collaboration under the EEA and Norway Grants. The matchmaking will focus on upcoming opportunities and future calls within the EEA and Norway Grants 2021–2028 period.
Event focus
The matchmaking event will focus on three thematic areas:
- Green ICT & Digitalisation
- Green Technologies & Circular Economy
- Blue Technologies & Blue Economy
The aim is to connect companies from Romania, Bulgaria and Greece with potential Norwegian partners and relevant stakeholders. The event is intended for companies interested in developing project partnerships, business cooperation and innovation collaboration under the EEA and Norway Grants, including opportunities linked to upcoming calls and future cooperation within the EEA and Norway Grants 2021–2028 period.
Opportunities for companies from Greece, Bulgaria and Romania
Companies from Greece, Bulgaria and Romania can participate in the matchmaking event to explore cooperation opportunities with Norwegian companies and other relevant partners under the EEA and Norway Grants.
The event is an opportunity to:
- meet potential Norwegian project partners
- explore upcoming calls and partnership opportunities
- identify possible areas for business cooperation and innovation collaboration
- learn more about how partnerships can be developed under the EEA and Norway Grants
The matchmaking event is particularly relevant for companies interested in developing project ideas or partnerships within green transition, digitalisation, circular economy, blue economy and other areas linked to the EEA and Norway Grants programmes in Greece, Bulgaria and Romania.
What the grant covers:
Form of support | Please note that the travel and accommodation costs are covered as De minimis aid registered in the Norwegian state aid register. |
Amount | Indicatively up to 18,000 NOK (equivalent of approximately EUR 1,500) per company, covering travel (only flight ticket in economy class) and up to 3 nights' accommodation. |
Number of companies | Maximum 10 per country (Romania, Greece and Bulgaria) |
Participants per company | One person per company. Due to space limitations, it is not possible to allow more than one person. |
Not covered | Costs of attending events outside the Oslo Innovation Week programme; extension of the trip for private purposes; costs of accompanying persons; any costs incurred before the award decision, per diem, other transportation expenses except for the plane.

Important notice: | Travel documents will be issued in the name of the account owner registered on the event platform. Therefore, the account must be created by the person who will attend the event. Please note that participants are required to obtain valid travel insurance at their own expense. Innovation Norway will not cover the cost of travel insurance and shall not be held liable for any incidents, losses, damages, or other situations that may occur during the trip or participation in the event. Travel and accommodation costs will be paid in advance by Innovation Norway in accordance with the administrative procedures communicated to the selected companies. If a selected participant withdraws from or fails to attend the event for any reason, Innovation Norway reserves the right to invoice the participating company for all costs incurred. By confirming their participation, selected entities acknowledge and accept these conditions. |
Who can apply
Romania:
The applicant is a small or medium-sized enterprise within the meaning of Commission Recommendation 2003/361/EC, registered as a legal entity in Romania and functioning in accordance with Law 31/1990. The applicant is active in one of the priority fields and sectors covered by the event: green technologies and circular economy; green ICT and digitalisation; blue technologies and the blue economy. The applicant has been established and in operation for at least one year at the application deadline.

Bulgaria:
The applicant is a small or medium-sized enterprise within the meaning of Commission Recommendation 2003/361/EC, registered as a legal entity in Bulgaria and registered under the Bulgarian Commercial Act (Търговски закон). Organisations and clusters, registered as legal entities in Bulgaria, under the Non-Profit Legal Entities Act (Закон за юридическите лица с нестопанска цел) can also apply for participation. The applicant is active in one of the following thematic areas covered by the event: green technologies and circular economy; green ICT and digitalisation. The applicant has been established and in operation for at least one year at the application deadline.

Greece:
The applicant is a small or medium-sized enterprise within the meaning of Commission Recommendation 2003/361/EC, registered as a legal entity in Greece and entered in the General Commercial Registry (Γ.Ε.ΜΗ. / GEMI) in accordance with Law 4919/2022. The applicant is active in one of the priority fields and sectors covered by the event: green technologies and circular economy; green ICT and digitalisation; blue technologies and the blue economy.

Notice on future funding
Participation in this initiative gives no right, expectation, priority or advantage in the assessment of any application for funding under the programme, now or in the future
Any future call for proposals under the programme will be published with its own terms and its own criteria and will be open to all eligible applicants on identical conditions, whether or not they took part in this initiative.
Applying for this travel grant is not a condition of applying for any future funding, and choosing not to apply for it is not a disadvantage.
State aid rules
Travel support is awarded under the rules for de minimis aid, Regulation (EU) 2023/2831.
An undertaking, including the applicant and any group companies, may receive a maximum of EUR 300,000 in de minimis aid over a three-year period. The applicant company must therefore sign a declaration confirming that it has available de minimis aid capacity before travel support can be granted.
Innovation Norway will register travel support awarded to companies in the Norwegian register for state aid.
