The Clinical Academic Center of Braga is a nonprofit partnership between the University of Minho (UM), represented by the School of Medicine (EM) and the Life and Health Sciences Research Institute (ICVS), the Braga Local Health Unit (ULS-Braga), and CUF-Porto Hospital. Its primary mission is to foster patient-centred clinical research ensuring that the outcomes translate into tangible benefits for patients. The close collaboration between these partners enables the integration of advanced medical and scientific expertise across diverse areas of basic science and clinical practice. 2CA-Braga’s strategic location within ULS-Braga facilitates access to a wide range of support services (from nursing to administrative staff), placing it in an optimal position to advance clinical research and offer top-tier training programs. This collaboration helps accelerate the development of innovative biomaterials, diagnostic tools, regenerative therapies, and other therapeutic products, ultimately contributing significantly to public health.

About me

I am an accomplished International Relations specialist with over 20 years of experience in driving the internationalization of higher education institutions. I hold a degree in International Relations (1999) and a Master’s in European Union Policies and Territorial Cooperation (2010), both from the University of Minho.
Throughout my career, I’ve held key roles in promoting academic cooperation, managing international mobility programs, and coordinating research initiatives. From 2016 to 2020, I had the privilege of serving as the Director of the International Relations Office at UMinho, where I led strategic initiatives that significantly enhanced the university’s global engagement. My expertise also extends to managing and participating in a wide range of EU programs, particularly under the ERASMUS+ Programme.

More recently, I have expanded my expertise into digital health, developing new skills to align with emerging trends in healthcare innovation. Currently, I hold a position at 2CA-Braga, where I focus on Digital Health and Internationalization.

I am passionate about fostering global collaboration, leveraging my extensive background in internationalization, and contributing to innovative solutions in the healthcare sector.
