IZES gGmbH is a leading, application-oriented and systems-thinking non-university research institute, funded by the federal state of Saarland. Based in the heart of Saarland’s capital Saarbrücken, IZES has been conducting inter- and transdisciplinary (inter)national research projects for over 20 years. Our mission is to develop sustainable and climate-neutral energy and material flow systems at the local and regional level that remain resilient even under challenging and changing framework conditions. Currently, around 80 experts work at IZES, delivering practice-oriented solutions within a project volume of approximately €4 million per year.

I lead the Transformative Mobility Research group at IZES, Germany. We offer expertise in mobility justice, gender, governance, participation and living labs and are looking to join a DUT 2026 consortium as a research partner.
