Mobility data and activity-space analysis for 15-minute City proposals (looking to join a consortium)

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratoire d'études des processus sociaux, University of Neuchâtel, working on the SNSF-funded Magnet Cities project. I am looking to join a DUT Call 2026 consortium as a work package partner, ideally under the 15-minute City Transition Pathway (topics 2 and 3), with a research-oriented approach.

What I bring:

• Measurement of where people actually spend their time, not just where they live. My work uses GPS traces, mobile phone and app-based mobility data to build individual activity spaces and to quantify exposure, proximity and access at neighbourhood scale.

• Linkage of mobility data with administrative registers and survey data. I work with Swiss federal registers (STATPOP, STATENT, payroll data) and with longitudinal survey panels, including the design of the linkage and the privacy and consent arrangements it requires.

• Longitudinal and causal designs for residential mobility, relocation and life-course events, including competing-risk and panel models.

• Distributional analysis. A recurring finding in my work is that proximity-based interventions do not benefit all residents equally, and I can build the indicators and models that show for whom a 15-minute neighbourhood actually works.
