As the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Public Transportation Services Department (TUHIM), we leverage our institutional authority over Europe’s largest transit network to deliver successful local and international projects through five core capacities: we lead large-scale mobility pilot coordination across Istanbul's mega-transport infrastructure, navigate complex national and municipal transport regulations, and drive inclusive citizen engagement impacting millions of daily commuters. Furthermore, we leverage our direct integration with policymakers and global city networks to shape sustainable urban mobility agendas, while maximizing project visibility through targeted dissemination and outreach across Istanbul’s extensive transit, academic, and industrial ecosystems. As a member of a consortia, we can support as;

Pilot Testing and Living Lab Demonstration: Offering Istanbul’s dense, multi-modal transport ecosystem—encompassing metro, metrobus, ferries, e-scooters, and cycling networks—as a real-world living lab for testing and scaling innovative mobility solutions.

Policy and Regulatory Framework Development: Enabling the local application of new mobility rules and infrastructural adaptations under IMM's transport authorities , while designing actionable behavior-change strategies tailored to mega-cities.

Advanced ITS and Big Data Contribution: Providing anonymized, high-quality data on traffic flow, user behavior, infrastructure metrics, and safety hazards, leveraged by ISBAK and IMM's advanced Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).

Multi-Stakeholder Engagement and Co-Design: Coordinating co-designed safety and mobility solutions by bridging Istanbul’s citizens, academia, local tech startups, and enforcement units to foster a participatory urban ecosystem.
