About
As the metropolitan governance body bringing together the Municipality of Baia Mare and 17 surrounding towns and communes, we are commited to developing innovative solutions that support accessible, inclusive, and sustainabler urban mobility, thus contributing to the transition towards climate neutral and resilient cities.
Our primary interest is improving the quality, accessibility and user experience of the public transport service in the municipality and three neighbouring localities, representing the area served by the public transport operator. We believe that digital innovations in the mobility field can directly lead to an increase in user satisfaction, encourage a modal shift from provate cars to public transport, rduce traffic congestion and greenhouse gas emissions, ultimately leading to an overall improvement in the quality of urban life, also being in accordance with the DUT aim of transitioning towards a climate neutral and resilient future.
In the hope of achieving this purpose, we are looking to collaborate with municipalities, local public authorities, universities, research organisations, SMEs, technology providers, and NGOs with complementary expertisein sustainable mobility, digital innovation, urban planning, and climate action.
We are open to both joining an existing consortium as well as co-developing a new proposal.
We can contribute as a territorial partner by facilitating stakeholder engagement, coordinating pilot activities and living labs, involving local authorities, supporting the implementation and validation of innovative mobility solutions by being the managing authority of the metropolitan public transport operator, and leading communication, dissemination, and exploitation activities.
We welcome partnerships that aim to accelerate the transition towards smarter, more sustainable, and user - oriented metropolitan public transport, in line with the aim of the DUT Call.
